How to Easily Get Out of a Funk

Jill Fosco • Jan 28, 2017

You can easily do this by remembering that it’s all holy.

Yep.

It’s ALL HOLY.

Every last little bit of it. Every single frustration, tear, sigh, moan, (not referring to the fun kind), sob, fit of rage, feeling of whether or not another human being on this planet will ever understand you…

Yep, it’s all holy.

Like Abraham Hicks says, when we are experiencing something that causes us to desire something SO DIFFERENT than what we are experiencing currently, it shapes our destiny, our sacred journey, our path. If we listen to it, watch it, observe it and see where it’s trying to lead us, we can access that part of us that already knows this to be true – so. much. easier.

The quicker we can get to this “place” or vibration in our being that understands that we are driving our journey and are co-creating with the Universe and beyond, we can “surf” the tides of our experience and stay “on top” and in that limitless feeling place and enjoy the ride rather than feeling swallowed up by the undertow.

(Even that’s holy.)

Sure, let your feelings and emotions flow but please don’t let them settle in a place that doesn’t feel fresh, empowering and ALIVE. (Because homie, we just don’t have time for that…)

We have been called forward to add our “special sauce” into this cosmic mix with one mission in mind – to leave ourselves + this place radically better than when we got here in our own unique way. We can do this simply by doing our best at being our best and putting getting happy AF at the top of our priority list.

Here’s some additional “go to’s” that I like to immediately employ when I feel funky energy coming on:

1.) GET OUTSIDE

No matter the weather, get your gorgeous self outdoors. Even if you’re in extreme weather, you can get yourself some fresh sweet air, if only just for a few minutes to start.

2.) WALK AWAY

If you’re working on something or at work, take five. Walk, Darling. Go to the restroom if you have to gather your thoughts and get in front of that pooey mood coming on before it manifests full swing.

3.) PHONE A FRIEND

Don’t you just love raw accountability from a bestie? Make sure you’ve discussed that you’re not to be allowed to get further into a funk if you’re giving them an S.O.S. call. Also make sure that you’re keeping the intention of the call to get OUT of the funk and not take it to a further and more colorfully funky and alive place by exacerbating it.

4.) LIGHT UP YOUR ATMOSPHERE

Perhaps the walking away or going outside comes first, however when you get back shift the energy in your space. Light a candle and say a prayer that you’d like help not going “there” and instead that your focus shifts onto something BOMB. Insert playing fun tunes, smelling essential oils or grabbing a cup of tea and make yourself feel at home.

5.) LET IT BE EASY

Where can you get easier on yourself? You know that funky vibe is coming up for a reason. Maybe cancel that commitment that doesn’t light you up anyway and free up more space for self love and FUN.

I decided to surrender and let my heart get blown wide the F open. How Celebrating Can Increase Your Abundance
By Jill Fosco 28 Jan, 2017
I’m going to go ahead and guess that you’re a person who enjoys giving. It’s natural and we are divinely inspired and wired for giving (however let’s not forget the equally important receiving part). Maybe you enjoy giving SO MUCH like so many of us do that you forget to allow yourself to receive as a practice like the giving you so freely do...
