On Authenticity and How to Work It — Your Way

Jill Fosco • Jan 28, 2017

The Situation:

To swear or not to swear?

To post pictures of me gettin’ down at a Mariah concert or pretend that I was at a jazz bar all night?

Will my following freak out if they know I put my crystals under the moon light or should I leave that up to the UFO conspiracy theorists?

These are some of the MANY questions swirling around these days as entrepreneurs put their personal lives on-the-line (pun intended) like never before.

With new options to share your most detailed moments with the click of a button, how does one that is looking to make a difference AND be real get comfortable with their unique brand of authenticity?

Soul-ution:

Grab a journal and a pen and start riffing on these questions…

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM OPPORTUNITY?

For me, I’d love to be called out by the “O” Goddess (The Almighty Oprah) any day of the week. I’d be ready and willing to serve her following at a moment’s notice with the best, most insightful ways this human can conjure up. (I call it being “Oprah-ready.”)

What’s your kind of dream opportunity and what kind of audiences do you jive best with?

(Take note.)

WHAT SUBJECTS LIGHT YOU UP?

What gets your eyes a-glowing and losing site of who-gives-a-$#%@ about anything that could be coming out of your mouth?

What are you SO PASSIONATE about that you could go on stage and riff about for an entire hour without any signs of stopping?

What are you NON-NEGOTIABLE about and the thought of separating you from “it” hints at your very demise?

Dramatic, I know.

Stay with me…

HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF FINDING OUT THAT HOLDING THESE THINGS BACK THAT MAKE UP THE VERY ESSENCE OF WHO YOU REALLY ARE IS A POTENTIAL LOSS FELT BY THE PEOPLE LOOKING TO LEARN FROM YOU?

Deep.

know.

We’re human.

It’s fun to get to relate to each other (or not) and allow ourselves to be who we really are.

It’s a breath of fresh air to just be.

Gone are the days of compartmentalizing our free time from our most authentic soul basedbiz.

It’s what makes us different from everyone else and it’s usually these things that make the “greats” so. damn. GREAT.

My Advice:

(As always, take what you want and leave the rest.)

Be you.

Keep in mind those you are here to serve as you consistently deliver your message.

When we focus on service and how we can best SERVE when showing up in the digital or physical world, this puts a beautiful emphasis on why we’re doing what we’re doing and the authenticity naturally flows.

Some will like it others will not, however you’ll never know who your TRUE posse is if you don’t show your best self to them.

Ask your best students, clients and patrons what they’ve learned from you and what pearls of wisdom they think you should definitely teach and share with the world.

(There’s GOLD in that one.)

Think before you preach.

I find people don’t generally like to be “told what to do.”

(Amiright?)

Make sure you’re talking with your audience and not at them.

Speak from your experience and you’re always golden.

Trust yourself and let it RIP.

Let loose and have FUN.

Include more of your raw human realness in ways that INSPIRE (not depress) and UPLIFT those who are embarking on a path you’ve already made your way through.

Real live success stories rule.

You know you have them.

So share those babies and let me know how it goes!

It’s About to Get Spiritual Up in Her’
By Jill Fosco 17 Aug, 2017
I decided to surrender and let my heart get blown wide the F open. Emotional “junk drawers” aren’t fun to clean out and vulnerability is something that I attempted to train out of myself at a young age to protect myself. I’ll spare you the deets. Let’s just say I had great training on how to hold on strong to God at a young age...

You can easily do this by remembering that it’s all holy. Yep. It’s ALL HOLY. Every last little bit of it. Every single frustration, tear, sigh, moan, (not referring to the fun kind), sob, fit of rage, feeling of whether or not another human being on this planet will ever understand you...
How Celebrating Can Increase Your Abundance
By Jill Fosco 28 Jan, 2017
I’m going to go ahead and guess that you’re a person who enjoys giving. It’s natural and we are divinely inspired and wired for giving (however let’s not forget the equally important receiving part). Maybe you enjoy giving SO MUCH like so many of us do that you forget to allow yourself to receive as a practice like the giving you so freely do...
